The Woody Guthrie Tribute Project!

Posted on

The Woody Guthrie Tribute Project is well under way folks. I have not been able to stick too a daily posting of videos, it’s been about 5 per week, but my wife and I are putting it all together in a few months with a benefit concert.

What: The Woody Guthrie Tribute Project benefit concert
When: April 22, 2017 , 3pm – 6pm
Where: E. Simpson Coffeeshop, Lafayette, CO
Tickets – $10
Conceived both as a personal challenge to myself and as a way to give back to my community I embarked on a 100 day effort to learn and perform 100 Woody Guthrie songs the first 100 days of the new administration. Ive got a bunch of musician friends to join me and we are putting out daily videos on You Tube of these songs.
You can check them out and subscribe to my channel out here:
On day 100 (earth day)  we plan to give a Woody Guthrie tribute concert and invite friends from various non-profits whose missions involved strengthening our communities and fighting for social, civil and environmental justice, to speak about their groups and how people can help and become involved.
We are being sponsored by KGNU and I will be doing a radio show with them some time in the near future.
